The BigDieMo Practical Handbook supports small and medium-sized enterprises in exploiting the potential of their existing data by accompanying the systematic development of data-based business models step-by-step.
New competitive advantages are created when data-based services generate added value for customers. In order to anchor the customer perspective even more firmly in the existing BigDieMo construction kit, concepts from user-centered service development are now being integrated.
This expansion will take place in three essential steps:
1 – Typification of data-based services. The identification of data-based service types provides companies with a clear presentation and distinction of the design options that have been successful on the market to date.
Project phase 1 is expected to be completed by the end of September.
2 – Design Thinking for data-based services.
Design Thinking is used as a method to create human-centric solutions to create new customer value with the help of data-based services. In the process, groups of people such as customers or users are moved to the centre of solution finding, their needs are identified and new possibilities for ideas and solution spaces are created. The existing portfolio of BigDieMo tools and the BigDieMo workshop concept will thereby be expanded.
Project phase 2 is expected to be completed by the end of October.
3 – Testing the new workshop concept.
The extended BigDieMo workshop concept will be tested in practical workshops with various SMEs and thus evaluated in a practical way.
This work package is expected to be finalised by the end of December.
